South Dublin Music Video Collective

The groups met and looked at their favourite music videos, analysing how they were made and what ideas they visually represented about the music.

In February 2009, young people from South Dublin Rock School and Tallaght Young Filmmakers met and developed an idea to form a Music Video Collective. Still from ‘Dust’ submitted by Amy Buckley, ITT student. A gripping depiction of a young woman’s drug addiction. Winner ‘Best Overall Film’ for the 19 - 25 age category.

Creative Digital Media student at ITT, Amy Buckley created and directed this film. It is a visually stunning and heart wrenching depiction of the downward spiral of a young woman addicted to heroin. The film won Best Overal Film at the NOISE Flicks Festival 2009.
Guidance is suggested for young viewers under the age of 16.

Tallaght Young Filmmakers have created a short film entitled Tale of Genji with funding from the Arts Council’s Young Ensemble’s Schemev. Based on the ancient Japanese story of the same name, this version takes place in the Tallaght Library with a sinister twist. The script and storyboards are available below.
