NOISE South Dublin Privacy Statement
South Dublin County Council operates NOISE South Dublin, www.noisesouthdublin.com. This Privacy Policy lays down the rules for the use and sharing of personally identifiable information (”P.I.I” includes your full name, email address, mailing address, and NOISE login passoword) that Members voluntarily provide to NOISE when they register.
The Term “User” refers to a NOISE Community member. This Privacy Policy applies to the services offered by South Dublin County Council for the sole purposes of:
- - any NOISE branded URL (the “NOISE” Website”)
- - the comment blogs on NOISE
- - NOISE application developer service and
- - other features (for example, music and video embedded players)
- - any other features, content, or applications offered from time to time by South Dublin County Council in connection with the NOISE Website.

The NOISE site is not open to persons residing outside of South Dublin County. The NOISE Website is a site for young people, ages 13 to 25, who are resident in South Dublin County and does not knowingly collect P.I.I or Related Data from children under 13 years of age.
People who are outside the jurisdiction of South Dublin County and who are attempting to register may not be approved as NOISE Community Members. If your registration is approved, all of the same rules regarding privacy listed here will apply to you.
From time to time South Dublin County Council may modify this Privacy Policy to reflect Council initiatives or changes in the law, our P.I.I or Related Data collection and use practices, the features of the NOISE Services, or technology, and such modifications shall be effective upon posting by South Dublin County Council on the NOISE Website. South Dublin County Council will endeavour to notify all registered users if such a modification occurs. Your continued use of the NOISE after South Dublin County Council posts a revised Privacy Policy signifies your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy. It is therefore important that you review this Privacy Policy regularly to ensure you are updated as to any changes. If South Dublin County Council materially changes its practices regarding collection or use of your P.I.I or Related Data, your P.I.I and Related Data will continue to be governed by the Privacy Policy under which it was collected unless you have been provided with notice of, and have not objected to, the change.
COLLECTION AND SUBMISSION OF P.I.I AND NON-P.I.I ON NOISE
General. South Dublin County Council collects your email address, first and last name, postal code, and date of birth from you in order to register you as a Member of NOISE (”Registration Data”). You cannot be registered as a Member without this information. All other information you provide during NOISE registration or that you post on the NOISE website is done on a voluntary basis.
In addition, NOISE collects other Related Data and non-P.I.I including IP address, aggregate user data, and browser type. This data is used to manage and improve the NOISE Services, track usage, and for security purposes.
NOISE Community members may also choose to provide or store non-P.I.I information and Related Data in their profiles, including but not limited to date of birth, interests, hobbies, lifestyle choices, groups with whom they are affiliated (schools, companies), videos and/or pictures, private messages, bulletins or personal statements (collectively ‘Profile Information’ which includes ‘General Information’ and ‘About Information’). The Profile Information in a Member’s profile is provided at his or her sole discretion. Please be aware that your Profile Information, as well as any information posted to any public forum, can be accessed by the public. Profile Information located on private profiles can be accessed by NOISE at all times and, in limited cases, by certain third parties authorized by South Dublin County Council for purposes of ensuring compliance with NOISE’s Terms and Conditions.
NOISE Community Members can change their Profile Information at any time. They may change their Registration information by emailing info@noisesouthdublin.com. South Dublin County Council determines the purposes of collection, use and disclosure of the Registration Data that you provide and, as such, is considered the data controller of this information.

If South Dublin County Council uses your P.I.I information for any other purposes than those stated here, South Dublin County Council will inform you.
Except as described in this Privacy Policy, South Dublin County Council will not share your P.I.I with third parties (excluding those set out in this Privacy Policy) unless you have given NOISE and/or South Dublin County Council permission to do so (See “Use” below).
NOISE may be linked to Internet sites operated by other companies. NOISE may also carry advertisements from other companies. NOISE and South Dublin County Council are not responsible for the privacy practices of other websites or other services operated by third parties that are linked to or integrated with the NOISE website or for the privacy practices of third party Internet advertising companies. Once you leave NOISE via such a link, or access a third party application (such as widgets) or click on an advertisement, you should check the applicable privacy policy of that third party or advertiser site to determine, among other things, how they will handle any P.I.I they collect from you.
CHOICE: South Dublin County Council WILL PROVIDE YOU WITH CHOICES ABOUT THE USE OF YOUR P.I.I
Except as described in this Privacy Policy, NOISE and South Dublin County Council will get your permission before we use the P.I.I you provide to us in a way that is inconsistent with the purpose for which it was submitted or share your P.I.I with third parties that are not affiliated with NOISE and South Dublin County Council.
USE: NOISE USE OF P.I.I
NOISE will only use the P.I.I you provide under this Privacy Policy in a manner that is consistent with this Privacy Policy. If NOISE or South Dublin County Council obtains P.I.I from a third party, such as a business partner, our use of that information is also governed by this Privacy Policy.
By signing up as a NOISE Community member, you are consenting to receive emails regarding events, projects, and features; namely changes on the NOISE site. If you want to stop receiving such emails, you can email info@noisesouthdublin.com
South Dublin County Council employees, agents and contractors must have a legitimate reason to obtain access to your P.I.I and Related Data. To do so, they must be affiliated directly with the administration of the NOISE site. This includes the company which hosts and programmes the site, Choicecuts Entertainment.
South Dublin County Council may share your P.I.I and Related Data with those who manage or provide NOISE Services’ information activities (for example., message board administration, order fulfillment, statistical analyses, data processing), or with outside contractors who help us with the administration of the site. These outside contractors or agents may temporarily store some information on their servers, but they may only use your P.I.I to provide NOISE with a specific service and not for any other purpose.
There may be instances when South Dublin County Council may access or disclose P.I.I, Related Data, Profile Information or non-P.I.I without providing you a choice in order to: (i) protect or defend the legal rights or property of NOISE, our Affiliated Companies or their employees, agents and contractors (including enforcement of our agreements); (ii) protect the safety and security of Users of the NOISE Community or members of the public including acting in urgent circumstances; (iii) protect against fraud or for risk management purposes; or (iv) comply with the law or legal process. In addition, if South Dublin County Council transfers all or part of the administration of the NOISE site, South Dublin County Council will notify you first so you can remove your registration. If you do not South Dublin County Council may transfer your P.I.I to the party or parties involved in the transaction as part of that transaction.
When a Member chooses to post Profile Information that will be publicly disclosed, that Member is responsible for ensuring that such information conforms to all local data protection laws. South Dublin County Council is not responsible under any data protection laws for Member posted information.
SECURITY: SOUTH DUBLIN COUNTY COUNCIL PROTECTS THE SECURITY OF P.I.I
South Dublin County Council will take all reasonable care to safeguard P.I.I information on the NOISE site against loss, theft and unauthorized use, disclosure or modification.
