Dance at Palmerstown Community School

Students think about movements and actions they take in their everyday lives and translate them into dance

Transition year students from Palmerstown Community School have been gaining skills in contemporary dance with South Dublin County’s Dancer in Residence Louise Costelloe. While incorporating hip hop and other dance techniques with those of improvisation and dance theatre, the students have been learning about how everyday experiences can be interpreted into dance movements.

Transition year students from Firhouse Community College have been gaining skills in dance with South Dublin County’s Dancer in Residence Louise Costelloe. The students have explored some different styles, including hip-hop, dance theatre and contact improvisation.
