She has also been selected for a number of group exhibitions in Ireland and England. She recently won the Millcove Gallery Award and has been selected to participate in a residency in Iceland later this year.

This exhibition consists of a series of drawings, paintings and photography, depicting the artists’s interest in the exploration of her geographical place, living on the westernmost edge of Europe. She makes art that engages with her immediate environment of the beach, and with the found objects washed up on it. She uses as source material objects that have been worn and eroded by the sea. Through photographic documentation and then the process of drawing and painting, she explores both the strength and fragility of these objects and engages with the materiality of what has been displaced and given by the sea. The resultant works are small in scale and work together as constellations rather than separately, shifting with ease between the abstract and the representational.

Now some of Ireland’s leading Choreographers and Directors are bringing the Glee experience to RUA RED!

Glee Club Summer Camps – aim to give young people aged 8 to 18 the opportunity to sing, dance and act under the guidance of some professional tutorage. At the end of the week-long course, “Gleeks” will have the opportunity to showcase their work to friends and family!

Dancing, acting and singing classes can boost confidence, the emphasis of this summer camp is to nurture the individual talents (however strong or weak) that each of us possess and more importantly to have fun. What’s unique about Glee Club is that it embraces all walks of life, all types of people and brings them together in their common interest… performing. It creates a space where people with a talent in singing, can mix easily with people whose talent is in dance and drama alike.

Check out full details on www.gleesummer.com and be sure to book early to get your place!
