Morning After Phil

Posted on Wednesday, October 14th, 2009

Morning After Phil is an up and coming Clondalkin band that formed in November 2008 While they play a variety of music, rock or alternative is their main sound. They explain, “Our material can be very varied, one song is all hardcore, the next song is all quiet and pretty and the next one dancy…Plus there’s a sorta country soundin’ song we haveas well. So far we have played around 10 gigs in pubs, schools, peoples back gardens, and in a field!”

Steph Palmer of Affliction Promotion said of their gig in NOISE Battle of the Bands ‘09 (2nd heat in Mega-bites Youth Cafe in Lucan): “To start the head to head showdown of the Battle Of The Bands ‘09, a band from Clondalkin called Morning After Phil came on stage and sang ”Is this what you want?.” By the time frontman Adam Brown started singing, the crowd were on their feet, dancing. Their second track was ”What can be said?.” The band themselves have an amazing team spirit on stage. They had the crowd dancing within a flash!”

They performed at the final in the Civic Theatre on October 27th. Check out their performance below:
