Established in 2007, The Irish Museum of Contemporary Art (IMOCA) describes itself asĀ an artist-led organisation. Members of the organisation explain that they are “actively exercising a flexible model and framework, which allows them to change, adapt, respond to, and promote developing or shifting trends in technology and society.” They promote and develop contemporary art and artists in Ireland as well as develop educational opportunities and chances for engagement with contemporary art. They push the boundaries of what is understood as art and often engage audiences in ways that question technology, its uses and role in society and the arts.
