Crisp Sandwich

“Rebecca get out of bed you’re going to be late for school again!”
Rebecca slowly peered out of bed, rubbing her blurred eyes.
“I have to go to work. Make sure you get something to eat. See you later love.” her mother shouted, slamming the door behind her.
Rebecca stumbled into the kitchen half asleep. There was no food except for two slices of bread and a packet of crisps. Rebecca thought “what on earth can I make for breakfast out of bread and crisps?” She sat at the table putting the pieces of the puzzle together and finally came out with a crisp sandwich.
“This looks disgusting” thought Rebecca as she scraped the crisp sandwich with her teeth. She kept eating it as she realised it actually tasted good. She wondered to herself “imagine all the varieties of crisps you could have on the sandwich. Cheese and onion, salt and vinegar or even both!” She grabbed her bag and raced to school to find her friends to tell them about her great creation.
“Anna, Nicole, come here quick” shouted Rebecca, racing down the corridor. Her friends hid their faces as everyone was wondering who the lunatic running down the corridor was calling!
“Wait until you see this.” Rebecca said, grabbing their hands and pulling them to the bench. Everybody was staring at this point to see what the commotion was about. “Try this.” Rebecca said, shoving the sandwich in Anna’s face.
“Eww, what is that?” Anna said, pushing the sandwich out of her face.
“I’ll try it.” Said Nicole. She was always up for something a bit different. Nicole bit a chunk out of the sandwich, and everyone around backed awaywaiting for her to spit it out.
“So what’s it like?” asked Anna.
Rebecca paused. “It’s like the nicest thing EVER tasted!!”
Anna grabbed the sandwich. “Oh my gosh it’s like WOW!”
Everyone started tasting the sandwich. Every single one of them was drooling over this mouth watering creation!
Rebecca sat back gazing over everyone. She couldn’t help giggle at the thought that one empty kitchen could lead into a whole new adventure!
